Specialists at Warragul Specialist Centre

Dr Bhavini Shah is a dedicated medical oncologist based in Gippsland, with her private practice located at St John of God Hospital in Berwick. She consults publicly at Latrobe Regional Health, where she oversees the care of patients receiving treatment across the Gippsland region.

Dr Shah completed her basic physician training in Melbourne and undertook advanced oncology training at prestigious institutions including Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Austin Health, Monash Health, and Eastern Health. This extensive training provided her with broad exposure to complex clinical scenarios and deepened her insights into cancer care.

She manages all types of solid tumours and holds special interests in skin cancers, breast cancer, and gynaecological malignancies. In addition, she works with the Monash Health Familial Cancer Clinic and has a strong focus on cancer genetics.

Dr Shah has completed a fellowship in early-phase drug development and remains actively involved in clinical research. She serves as a principal investigator for several clinical trials at Latrobe Regional Health, helping to bring innovative treatments to regional patients.
Starting soon, Dr Bhavini Shah will also consult fortnightly on Friday mornings at the Warragul Specialist Centre.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr Shah is passionate about education and regularly teaches medical students and oncology trainees. She is deeply committed to improving cancer outcomes and delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to her patients.
